Who am I?
Ben Davis
I am a 22 year old Graphic Design graduate that previously studied at Hull School of Art and Design where I recently completed my third year of a BDes (Hons) degree with an Upper Second Class Honours, I have previously succeeded on a graphic design course with Hull College as part of my BTEC diploma and have picked up many skills along the way. At this time I have almost 7 years of Graphic Design experience under my belt with countless works both in and out of education including live clients, self-initiated briefs, and freelance work.
I am looking for a full-time graphic design placement as a junior or artworker in the future and would love to gain feedback on the work that I have created, I have an interest in music, motorbikes, football, and animals which come across in a lot of my designs or subject areas.
What is it that I do?
Brand Design
I create concept branding from the research and development stages of an idea and progress them using a constructive design process that results in a more refined, relevant, and realistic identity. I have worked with existing brands and multiple individual people across various different fields as well as conducting self-initiated projects surrounding some of my favourite companies, with extremely positive words being said about the work that I have produced under my name.
Brand Language
Every brand needs a unique language that tailors specifically to their story. This could be done by using promotional pieces, mock-ups, or artwork so that the identity can be most accurately portrayed through an iterative process. The brand language sets every company apart and its vital that you work with someone that can realise your vision.
Broader Graphic Design
I am primarily a digital designer. Almost all of the work that I produce is at some stage altered or manipulated using a range of different programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe XD just to name a few. My existing outcomes occupy not only the Brand Identity category but also expand across, UX/UI Design, Typographic communication, and Packaging.
